We proudly boast that all members of our team “know the business” top to bottom. Most, if not all, members of our staff have, at one time, either served as a field technician, repair technician, customer service representative, or manager in various capacities. All of our employees possess a strong retail and service industry background, as evidenced by the high value we place on delivering superior customer service. It’s standard practice for our customers to receive a courtesy visit from one of our technicians or a phone call from one of our managers to ensure that our promise to deliver unsurpassed service and continued support of their security requirements is being fulfilled. brian lacroix – president

Brian joined Setronics in 2002 as a Field Service Technician quickly distinguishing himself through his strong commitment to customer service and his ability to creatively design security system solutions. Throughout his tenure with Setronics, Brian has played a key role in engineering a wide range of customized integrated security solutions, each successfully deployed at major retail conglomerates among other industries. This led to Brian’s promotion of Project Engineer in 2006. In 2010 Brian was promoted to Vice President of Engineering where he led a cross-functional team that designed, engineered and implemented a multi-phase IP migration project for a Fortune 500 retailer. He was also instrumental in identifying potential business partner ventures to expand on Setronics' industry expertise which led the company to it’s first business acquisition in 2012. In recognition of Brian’s drive to grow Setronics’ core competencies and his ongoing commitment to delivering security solutions that exceed customer expectations, Brian was promoted to President in April 2013. Brian holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University, Massachusetts’s electrical licenses, as well as various certificates from industry manufacturers.

greg riedel – chief financial officer

Greg began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers, a “Big 4” accounting firm, where he spent many years in New York and London, auditing and consulting for multi-national companies in various industries. Prior to joining Setronics, Greg’s career spanned senior financial executive positions with companies in the Retail, Telecommunications, Optics, Internet, Software, and Plastics industries. His leadership in creating and developing financially and operationally sound organizations coupled with his involvement in numerous complex financial transactions provide Setronics with experienced financial and operational stewardship. Greg’s diverse background and concentration on business operations allow Setronics to deliver tailored, highly responsive customer support.

donald kwapien – engineering manager

An electrical engineer with a master’s concentration in network engineering, Don has spent 20 years applying technology for electronic physical security as a system integrator for clients. He came to this market having developed software, hardware and system engineering experience in the controls industry. This culminated as a consulting engineer in a $36B dollar technology firm advising C level management on measurement technology and participating in international technical associations. As a designer he had one optical patent vital to a global utility product and therefore maintained internationally. As a product manager he was the North America and European manager for a process control system supplied to Kodak and Fuji, generating $10M annually, and requiring the coordination of engineering teams from 3 countries. Don’s present security expertise spans the full gamut of surveillance, access control, intrusion and fire as well as additional technologies combining to create solutions that have driven million-dollar installations. Don has a growing reputation for successful delivery of high value security solutions.

tracy ward – operations manager

Tracy joined Setronics in 2010 as Project Coordinator, and brought with her eight years of solid Project Management experience in the construction industry. She was promoted to Operations Manager in 2012 and is now responsible for overseeing the daily operations of project installations in the Northern New England region and assisting in the scheduling of all projects throughout our other regions. She is extremely organized, goal-oriented and focused on customer satisfaction and, through her knowledge and experience, has been able to delegate effectively and motivate her team to achieve project completions on time and within budgets. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
