Most, if not all, members of our staff have, at one time, either served as a field technician, repair technician, customer service representative, or manager in various capacities. All of our employees possess a strong retail and service industry background, as evidenced by the high value we place on delivering superior customer service. It’s standard practice for our customers to receive a courtesy visit from one of our technicians or a phone call from one of our managers to ensure that our promise to deliver unsurpassed service and continued support of their security requirements is being fulfilled. brian lacroix – president
Brian joined Setronics in 2002 as a Field Service Technician quickly distinguishing himself through his strong commitment to customer service and his ability to creatively design security system solutions. Throughout his tenure with Setronics, Brian has played a key role in engineering a wide range of customized integrated security solutions, each successfully deployed at major retail conglomerates among other industries. This led to Brian’s promotion of Project Engineer in 2006. In 2010 Brian was promoted to Vice President of Engineering where he led a cross-functional team that designed, engineered and implemented a multi-phase IP migration project for a Fortune 500 retailer. He was also instrumental in identifying potential business partner ventures to expand on Setronics' industry expertise which led the company to it’s first business acquisition in 2012. In recognition of Brian’s drive to grow Setronics’ core competencies and his ongoing commitment to delivering security solutions that exceed customer expectations, Brian was promoted to President in April 2013. Brian holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University, Massachusetts’s electrical licenses, as well as various certificates from industry manufacturers.
greg riedel – chief financial officer
Greg began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers, a “Big 4” accounting firm, where he spent many years in New York and London, auditing and consulting for multi-national companies in various industries. Prior to joining Setronics, Greg’s career spanned senior financial executive positions with companies in the Retail, Telecommunications, Optics, Internet, Software, and Plastics industries. His leadership in creating and developing financially and operationally sound organizations coupled with his involvement in numerous complex financial transactions provide Setronics with experienced financial and operational stewardship. Greg’s diverse background and concentration on business operations allow Setronics to deliver tailored, highly responsive customer support.
scott roberts – sales manager
Scott launched his career as a Loss Prevention Manager for a major U.S. retailer, which routinely recognized him for outstanding achievement. Scott then moved on to work in a sales capacity in the late 1990's and successfully sold solutions for several major manufacturers of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and cutting-edge biometric technologies. He studied Business Management in college and holds a Master Web Developer Certificate from Clark University. For the past 10 years, he has served on the Board of Directors for a non-profit Alumni Association dedicated to enriching the lives of inner city youths from the Boston area. Scott also serves as the IT Development Manager for the organization and volunteers as a youth basketball coach.
donald kwapien – senior engineer
An Electrical Engineer with a concentration in Network Engineering, Don is entering his second decade of physical security system integration and sales. His prior experience includes Software and Hardware Engineering, as well as product and business development across several industries. With one international instrumentation patent and several products launched by his team, Don has a history of succeeding in developing winning solutions for clients. His security expertise ranges from small business applications to demanding billion dollar enterprise solutions for international organizations. His portfolio of solutions spans two to three dozen major product lines across video surveillance, access control, fire, intrusion, and other supporting technologies. Don has earned a well-known and respected reputation in the industry as a persistent and value-driven technical expert.
todd weber – regional manager
Hired as a Field Service Technician in 2004, Todd quickly rose through the ranks of our field management team. In 2010, he was promoted to Regional Manager and currently manages all field services for our Southern New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. A licensed security contractor with national experience, Todd possesses excellent technical and customer service skills and embodies Setronics’ decades-long tradition of quality customer support and responsiveness.
tracy ward – operations manager
Tracy joined Setronics in 2010 as Project Coordinator, and brought with her eight years of solid Project Management experience in the construction industry. She was promoted to Operations Manager in 2012 and is now responsible for overseeing the daily operations of project installations in the Northern New England region and assisting in the scheduling of all projects throughout our other regions. She is extremely organized, goal-oriented and focused on customer satisfaction and, through her knowledge and experience, has been able to delegate effectively and motivate her team to achieve project completions on time and within budgets. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
jerry catanzariti – account manager
Jerry began his career as an Installation Technician for an international high-tech equipment company based in New England. After earning several promotions, Jerry gained valuable professional experience in staff and management roles in Customer Service, Project Management, and System Engineering. He developed his project management skills by simultaneously managing multiple six-figure projects and leveraging his operational experience in technical sales to deliver results that consistently exceeded assigned goals. Jerry’s background also includes the successful management of several large federal government contracts for a global organization. Among other responsibilities, Jerry currently oversees comprehensive account management for some of Setronics’ largest customers.
